This program addresses the job performance requirements of the National Fire Protection Agency, 1041 Standard for Fire Service Instructor Qualifications, Instructor 1. The course prepares the program participants for planning instruction, using a variety of methods, teaching diverse learners, and evaluating course outcomes. The course also provides guidelines for addressing the critical issues of safety and the legal issues of training, and it provides opportunities to participate in application activities.
Students will be required to pass the Proboard/NPQ Instructor I written exam, as well as successfully deliver a a presentation whcih meets the criteria of the included Fire Instructor I score sheet. Both the written exam and presentation will be conducted on "Test day."
Please complete all weekly assignments and submit them prior to the end of each week. For the discussion questions you are required to place an original reponse and substantive reply to at least one of your classmates. Do not reply with pharses such as " I agree with you", or "Good job".
